Kaytlyn Morris
Kaytlyn is a Registered Social Worker (#12622) in private practice and is currently working towards her clinical designation.
Kaytlyn supports children, youth, and adults experiencing mental health challenges, such as symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief and loss. She supports children and youth struggling with their emotions and relationships. She assists by exploring healthy boundaries, communication, social, and emotional regulation skills. Her guiding therapeutic principles are strength-based, client-centered, attachment focused, and trauma-informed. She implements a multi-model approach in her sessions. She uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and has completed the EMDR Child Specialist training. She offers strategies from Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Nature-Assisted Therapy (NAT), Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She can assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and harm reduction approaches. Kaytlyn has provided counselling in a variety of settings, including walk-in clinics, inner-city communities, and animal-assisted practices.
